Michael Fontaine A&R Universal Music Group Division

Michael began his journey as a DJ and producer in Orlando, Florida under then Motion Entertainment, under the management of Marcus Fontaine and Victor Ramos where he was an apprentice under and assisted local radio DJs to perfect his craft. He later relocated to Atlanta, GA for an apprenticeship with Toby Rivers, co-founder and band mate of Pure Essence with L.A. Reid and was an instrumental piece in the conception of LaFace Records alongside L.A. Reid and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds where he was was taught the intricacies of Music Business such as music publishing, artist development, product development and more.

Following, Michael began working under A&R Janelle Browne of Defjam Records assisting as A&R Coordinator facilitating administrative duties and assisting in Artist Relations. Michael has worked on projects such as then European Billboard artist Daniel Pride of Sony Music where he assisted in development and management. Michael was later offered an A&R position under Universal Records, which he accepted in the Bangvillage division where he currently works with industry leaders such as Executive A&R, Andre "Dre the URL" Williams and V.P. of A&R.
